Job Summary

Dialysis Patient Care Technician needed to care for adult/geriatric ESRD patients at a clinic in Anchorage area. Responsibilities include monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis; preparing and operating the dialysis machine; transporting patients and recording weights and vitals; explaining the dialysis procedure to patients; inspecting access sites (fistula, graft, or catheter); ensuring machine settings and safety standards; initiating treatment per physician orders; monitoring for adverse reactions; assisting with inventory and supply stocking; and performing related duties as assigned. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, CPR within 90 days, successful completion of dialysis training within 12 weeks, CMS certification per timeline, flexible scheduling, basic computer skills, and strong communication and confidentiality. Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 months of dialysis, phlebotomy, or CNA/PCA experience preferred
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to distinguish primary colors (Ishihara Color Vision Test)
  • Completion of dialysis training program with demonstrated competency within 12 weeks of hire
  • CMS-approved national certification requirements within CMS timeline
  • Flexible to work most days/times
  • Working knowledge of English (verbal and written)
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in clinical applications within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to organize time and tasks
  • Problem solving, analytical, and effective communication skills
  • Confidentiality and discretion
  • Interpersonal skills to work with patients, staff, and others
  • Ability to multi-task in a professional, calm manner
