Job Summary
Provide nursing care throughout patient assessment, initiation, and discontinuation of hemodialysis treatment while monitoring patients during and following procedures. Assess and monitor patient access with appropriate interventions, administer medications within scope of practice, and educate patients on treatment plans. Obtain necessary lab work, communicate patient condition changes to the charge nurse, and strictly follow clinic infection control and risk management policies. Understand concepts of water treatment effects on patient care and attend required training and staff meetings to maintain skills. Work under direct RN supervision in a full-time role with four 10-hour shifts starting at 6am, with Sundays off.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited practical nursing program completion
- Current MT LPN license
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Current state IV therapy training requirements, if applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Dialysis experience preferred, not required
