Job Summary
Prepare and monitor dialysis equipment and water treatment systems, performing quality control checks. Conduct pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis assessments, initiating, monitoring, and terminating treatments per policy. Administer medications and blood products, accurately transcribing physician orders and interpreting lab reports for nephrologists. Provide renal education to patients and families while serving as the primary contact for nephrologists and hospital staff. Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for patients with acute or chronic kidney disease.
Required Qualifications
- Current AL RN license
- Current CPR and BLS certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Six months' dialysis and/or critical care nursing experience
