Job Summary

The Dialysis Facility Administrator oversees all-day clinic management and operations, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, regulatory compliance, QA/QI activities, and coordination with physicians and leadership to achieve quality patient care and financial targets. Responsibilities include growth planning, incident reviews and quality improvement (QAPI), maintaining clinical documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing and applying corrective action plans, and leading staff development and patient care initiatives. Requires RN licensure, leadership experience in a dialysis setting, strong organizational and communication skills, CPR within 90 days, and proficiency with Windows-based software and clinical applications. The role may involve responsibilities akin to a facility CEO as delegated by leadership, and requires collaboration with Medical Director, area hospitals, vendors, and the community to uphold GUEST service standards and effective operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license in applicable state and in good standing
  • 18 months as an RN with 6 months experience in nursing care of a patient with kidney failure
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and to perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgment
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire
  • Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing healthcare facilities
  • Ability to recruit, train, develop, and supervise personnel; strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in budget planning, labor and supply cost management, and achievement of financial targets
  • Ability to coordinate patient scheduling, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives (QAPI)
  • Understanding of dialysis operations, water treatment systems, and maintenance of equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, physicians, and external stakeholders
  • Experience in coordinating with Medical Director and governing bodies and maintaining required records and reports
  • Ability to fulfill responsibilities of facility CEO as delegated by Governing Body
  • Understanding of regulatory surveys and corrective action planning
  • Preferred: dialysis management experience and familiarity with ESRD Network and Medicare requirements
