Job Summary
Direct patient care staff, manage daily dialysis operations, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies. Assess patient needs, administer medications, and respond to treatments while continuously monitoring for complications. Supervise documentation, coordinate staffing changes, and lead monthly quality assurance and staff meetings. Admit new patients, educate families on End Stage Renal Disease and therapy, and operate emergency equipment safely. Assume primary responsibility during emergencies and collaborate with physicians to adjust care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Experience in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Must be able to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
