Job Summary
Implement the Quality and Risk Management programs while protecting patient rights through adherence to Privacy Principles and excellent standard of care. Lead contemporary nursing practice by managing strategic planning, budget preparation, and financial strategies to improve performance and resource utilization. Ensure open communication within the clinic, maintain a safe working environment per Workplace Health and Safety policy, and drive quality improvement by participating in surveys, audits, and policy reviews. Collaborate with staff and Nephrologists to formulate activities consistent with best practice, monitor nursing care standards, and update the NephroCare Asia Pacific web database monthly. Maintain accurate patient information in the Therapy Data Management System and support clinical competences through education and guidance for registered nurses, enrolled nurses, and PSA's.
Required Qualifications
- Registered as a general nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- Current practising certificate
- Relevant post-basic / tertiary qualification
- Relevant clinical management experience
- Minimum five years current relevant nursing experience
- Ability to continuously reflect on nursing practice and apply learning as appropriate
- Demonstrated organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to be self-directed
- Understanding of the quality improvement process
- Understands risk management and risk mitigation strategies
- Demonstrated expertise in the delivery and co-ordination of clinical practice specifically within the haemodialysis setting
- Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to co-ordinate and motivate the members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure customer focused service provision
- Ability to manage human, financial and material resources
- Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity issues
- Computer literacy
- Motivated with an ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Clinical educator/adult learning experience
