Dialysis Charge Registered Nurse - RN

Job Summary
Lead the hemodialysis team by providing day-to-day direction to direct patient care staff, approving schedule changes, and supervising all documentation of patient information. Assess daily patient needs, respond to treatments, administer medications per physician orders, and assume primary responsibility during emergencies. Collaborate with physicians to adjust care plans, educate patients on End Stage Renal Disease, and ensure compliance with OSHA programs and facility policies. Monitor equipment use, participate in quality assurance meetings, and coordinate with the Clinical Manager on monthly staff updates. Requires RN licensure, dialysis clinical experience, and ability to travel between facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience
- Additional 3 months of clinical experience in dialysis
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Must meet appropriate state requirements (if any)
- Must be able to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test
- Must be available for travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community
- Must be available for travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings
