Job Summary
Biomedical Technician responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of dialysis water treatment equipment, all dialysis machines, and related mechanical/electrical systems to ensure patient safety and staff safety. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibration, testing (water quality checks, chlorine testing, AAMI analysis), disinfection of RO and distribution systems, maintaining preventive maintenance programs and documentation, inventory control, and coordinating with clinic administrators. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver''s license; prior dialysis/medical experience is preferred. Strong communication, ability to work under stress, and safety adherence are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver''s license in applicable state
- Previous dialysis, hospital, or medical experience preferred
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Ability to react and perform under stress and in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate and interface effectively with others
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently as well as with others to plan and organize work assignment
