Job Summary
Diagnostics Technician role in Great Yarmouth focused on diagnosing RF transmit/receive modules and complex electronic assemblies down to component level. Responsibilities include RF analysis using spectrum analysers, network analysers, and power meters; supporting test setups and verification plans; applying structured problem-solving (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D) to identify root causes; driving CAPA and continuous improvement to improve first-time yield, reliability, and diagnostics processes; reviewing and updating test procedures and documentation; and supporting customer returns and failure analysis. The role requires HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with Desirable BEng or equivalent; experience diagnosing PCB-level faults; familiarity with RF subsystems; LabVIEW-based test systems; and willingness to obtain SC clearance. Required Qualifications
- Essential: HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Desirable: Degree (BEng or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering
- Experience with RF tune & test
- Knowledge of transmit/receive modules (TRMs), radar systems, or RF subsystems
- Experience with LabVIEW-based test systems
- Familiarity with modern RF test equipment (e.g. Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz)
- RF Test Measurement and Calibration
