Job Summary
Provides nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures under supervision, including pre/post procedure education, medication administration, patient monitoring (EKG and vital signs), and documentation. Assists in radiology procedures, places urinary catheters and IVs, changes dressings, trains staff on CPR, infection control, and contrast-injection certification, and participates in on-call coverage and departmental quality improvement. Ensures patient and family education for procedures and maintains communication with nursing units and physicians.
Required Qualifications
- Florida RN License
- BLS through the American Heart Association
- ACLS through the American Heart Association
- Associate’s Degree ASN or other Two Year college equivalent
