Job Summary
Diagnostician for the 2026-2027 school year within the Special Programs & Services department. Implement the special education assessment process by evaluating students referred to special education services, collecting and organizing assessment data from multiple sources, conducting classroom observations and interviews, and coordinating with the ARD committee to interpret assessment results for IEP development and placement. Requires knowledge of diagnostic procedures, special education laws and regulations, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include staff development, consultation with parents and educators, maintaining evaluation logs, compliance with federal/state guidelines, and traveling to multiple school locations as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Educational Assessment
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
- Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician Certificate
- Two (2) years of teaching experience
