Job Summary

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations following established protocols to produce high-quality images for physician interpretation. Review patient history, verify orders, and prepare patients while administering contrast media and performing venipuncture as needed. Evaluate image quality, maintain equipment, and ensure patient safety by applying ALARA principles and minimizing radiation exposure. Collaborate with physicians and the imaging team to deliver exceptional outpatient care, educating patients and maintaining accurate documentation. Assist with fluoroscopic and interventional procedures as required. This PRN role provides flexible scheduling to cover full-time technologists, including rotating half-day Saturdays, within a brand-new outpatient imaging center specializing in orthopedic patients.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiography Technologist
  • Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program
  • Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT
  • Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice
  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
  • Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely
  • Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data
  • Must be available for a rotating schedule of 1–2 half-day Saturdays per month
