Job Summary
Diagnostic Technologist for UPMC East in Greensburg. Performs imaging procedures at a technical level with independent judgment, using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include patient identification, reviewing orders, coding and tracking exams in RIS, archiving data to ISITE, administering contrast as directed, providing clear patient instructions, communicating with patients and staff, and adhering to protocols. Requires ARRT-eligible radiologic technologist status, completion of an ARRT-approved program, and licensure/certifications as specified; CPR/BLS and clearance acts (31/33/34/73) with renewal. Daylight, full-time role with a structured career ladder and sign-on possibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date.
- ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist. Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire date as of January 1, 2025.
- CPR or BLS Required.
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
