Job Summary
Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures, correctly position patients, and process digital images for radiologist interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety policies and MTF protocols while documenting all procedures and maintaining records. Execute system calibrations, quality control tasks, and equipment repair calls as directed, recognizing artifacts and notifying personnel of outlying values. Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast media and institute emergency resuscitation procedures for cardiac or respiratory arrest. Submit image series according to MTF protocol and report any symptoms bearing on the patient's condition.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate
- Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the specialty identified in the TO
- One (1) year of experience as a radiologic technologist or in the specialty area identified in the TO
