Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including those in the operating room, endoscopy, and ICU. Ensure correct orders are obtained, patients are properly identified and prepared, and clinical histories are documented while respecting confidentiality. Optimize technical factors using ALARA principles to maximize patient safety. Prepare and administer medications through vascular access sites as prescribed. Evaluate images for proper positioning and acceptable quality, verify archival storage, and assist licensed practitioners with specialized procedures. Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers. Perform duties in a clinical environment while complying with all organization policies and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology
- Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study
- Minimum of 5 years-Related work experience
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of the date of hire
- Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months
