Job Summary
Operate all radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including portables and C-arms, to perform diagnostic exams per physician orders. Prepare patients for procedures, verify order accuracy, and interview patients for relevant history. Administer contrast media and monitor patient vitals, responding appropriately to emergency situations. Maintain emergency equipment and sterile solutions, ensuring radiation protection for patients and staff. Complete accurate data entry in the EMR and PACS systems, visually reviewing images for proper positioning and markers. Scan documents and resolve image exceptions while adhering to department protocols. This PRN role in Washington, D.C., requires flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program
- ARRT certified with current registration
- 6 months of Diagnostic radiology experience
Desired Qualifications
- CPR certification
- EPIC experience
