Diagnostic Radiology Technologist

Job Summary
Operate imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy used in surgery. Prepare patients by explaining exams and positioning them correctly while monitoring for safety. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate imaging, follow radiation safety protocols, and document patient history in the EMR. Assist with minimally invasive procedures as needed and stay current with continuing education. This part-time role at Bloomington Hospital runs Saturday-Sunday, 7am-7pm. Surgery experience is a plus. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.
Required Qualifications
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
- active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible)
- If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire
- current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit
