Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in clinical settings, including operating rooms, endoscopy, and ICU. Ensure correct orders are obtained, patients are properly identified and prepared, and clinical histories are documented while respecting confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols to optimize technical factors and maximize patient safety, adhering to ALARA principles. Prepare and administer medications through vascular access sites as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Evaluate images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality, verifying archival storage and data transfer. Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers. Perform duties independently or in assistance of licensed practitioners across multiple departments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology
- Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT-R registry within 6 months of the date of hire
