Job Summary
Radiologic Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes, performing full scope radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring proper patient identification and preparation, applying ALARA principles to maximize safety, documenting activities related to radiation exposure, and collaborating with licensed practitioners. Responsibilities include image evaluation, data transfer/archival, patient safety, compliance with federal/state laws, mentoring students and other health care providers, and assisting in fluoroscopic procedures across settings (including operating room, ICU, Endoscopy). Requires ARRT-R registry within 6 months for new graduates; education from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology with a preferred Bachelor’s degree; 1 year related experience preferred; and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree-Related Field (Preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year-Related work experience (Preferred)
- ARRT certification: Radiography (R) - ARRT
- ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire (New graduates)
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
