Job Summary
Conduct general and interventional radiology procedures, including diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and IR, with an estimated 95% of time dedicated to direct patient care. Provide consultation and instruction to referring physicians, determine treatment courses, and review consults and next-day cases for a minimum of two hours daily. Deliver post-procedure evaluations, discharge education, and communicate test results to providers and patients. Participate in quality improvement meetings, staff meetings, and peer reviews, while completing QA/QI documentation for all procedures and complications. Adhere to strict patient safety standards, medication policies, and infection control protocols, reporting incidents within 24 hours. Work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at VA Medical Center Atlanta, GA, with no on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
