Job Summary
Independently perform complex screening and diagnostic mammography examinations while executing quality assurance and control measures. Manage patient schedules within the Medical Health System and assist radiologists with needle localizations, breast ultrasounds, and image-guided biopsies. Collect, file, and maintain documentation for all mammogram studies and resulting interpretations. This position is located at Joint Base Langley - Eustis - Langley Air Force Base near Newport News, VA. Applicants must hold US citizenship and possess current radiology certification.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Radiology Certification
- Successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in 42 CFR Part 75 and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education
- Certified as radiographers in their field
- One year of specialized experience which includes: performing diagnostic mammography studies; assisting with performing breast biopsies; maintaining patients examination records
