Job Summary
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Program Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for the DMS program, developing and maintaining a robust core curriculum aligned with industry standards, supervising faculty and staff, monitoring student progress and accreditation compliance, advising students on academic and professional development, and partnering with administrators to drive program excellence and student success. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, ARDMS certification (OB/ABD; RVT optional but preferred), at least three years of relevant field experience, and a minimum of two years of clinical sonography experience, along with strong communication, instructional, and organizational skills to ensure high-quality education delivery and successful accreditation outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in the field
- Certification or licensure in ARDMS, OB/ABD; RVT certification is optional but preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer
- Demonstrated ability to present a professional image and act as a role model for students and staff
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance, and educational theories and techniques
