Job Summary
Perform routine and diagnostic breast ultrasound exams following radiologist protocols, obtaining complete patient histories and documenting in RIS/PACS. Explain procedures with compassion to reduce anxiety, assist with ultrasound-guided biopsies, and ensure technical image quality for radiologist interpretation. Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and report equipment malfunctions promptly. Work full-time, in-person Monday through Friday daytime shifts in Stockbridge, GA, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call. Requires an accredited ultrasound program, current RDMS BR preferred, state license, BLS/CPR, and two years of sonography experience.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of accredited Ultrasound program
- State license if applicable
- BLS/CPR
- 2+ years sonography experience
Desired Qualifications
- Current RDMS BR
- AB or OB
- breast ultrasound
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, ultrasound physics, and patient positioning
- Excellent communication — you make exams feel calm and supportive
- Proficiency with RIS/PACS and basic PC navigation
- Ability to lift/assist patients and stand for extended periods
