Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules; educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Perform imaging procedures by positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, and administering contrast media or medications when ordered. Continually monitor patient condition, report status changes, and analyze results to identify imaging quality issues. Implement safety standards, perform quality control on equipment, and troubleshoot malfunctions as necessary. This full-time role offers 72 hours per pay period with days shifts and a competitive rate of $60/hour plus travel stipend. Assignments are 13 weeks with extension options available for local travelers within 75 miles.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
- One year of experience
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- LOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles
