Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules; educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exam requirements to ensure cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when ordered, monitor patient conditions continuously, and report status changes. Select appropriate exposure factors, position patients, and perform imaging procedures while analyzing results for quality issues. Implement safety standards, perform quality control on equipment, and troubleshoot or report malfunctions. Provide top-of-scope direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team environment. This 13-week night shift assignment at UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital North includes a $60/hour rate plus travel package.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
- One year of experience
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Reside within 75 miles (LOCAL Traveler contract options available)
