Job Summary
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer PRN position at Sanford Health’s Marsh Med Ctr in Marshfield, WI. Responsible for performing ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner, using cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images. Requires thorough knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation, cross-sectional anatomy, and the ability to coordinate with physicians and the health care team. Supervises and trains students and other sonographers as needed; may include echocardiography depending on facility needs. Adheres to high ethical standards, demonstrates empathy and integrity, and supports accreditation processes. May require occasional travel for outreach/mobile services and a valid driver’s license. Drug screen and pre-employment background check are required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or a minimum of one year equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Registration in RDMS, RVT, ARRT or registry eligible.
- NDMIRT licensure if working in North Dakota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment.
