Job Summary
Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders and established protocols. Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness and obtains necessary clinical history prior to scanning. Positions patients and equipment to acquire optimal images; manipulates transducers and technical factors to obtain waveforms, heart rates, and other diagnostic data. Maintains accurate documentation in EMR/PACS. Communicates procedures to patients to ensure comfort and privacy. Requires knowledge of ultrasound physics, cross-sectional and vascular anatomy, and Doppler techniques; must read, write, and speak English proficiently. BLS certification required; ARDMS/ARRT boards eligibility preferred. Associate degree preferred. Able to work daylight hours in a full-time capacity in Littleton, CO. Includes opportunities for professional development and compliance with credentialing grids depending on unit/state. Flexible to coordinate with patient care team and radiology standards.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
- Associate degree preferred (or equivalent)
- ARDMS/ARRT boards eligibility preferred
