Job Summary
Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist provides clinical services in CT and X-ray modalities per Imaging practice standards, balancing time spent in each modality based on OU needs, and serves as a resource to Imaging Students and other technologists. Administers safe patient care, obtains clinical history/informed consent, assists physicians in optimizing examinations, performs routine quality control testing of equipment and maintenance of imagers/processors, and contributes to policy/procedure development. Requires ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of imaging experience with cross-training in CT; eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of accredited school/program of radiography
- Certification: ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist upon start
- Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training
- American Heart Association BLS within 3 months of hire
- Experience: Minimum of one year of imaging experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment
- Must be able to perform in two or more modalities with at least even amount of time spent rotating in each annually based on needs. CT Cross Training.
