Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – Barnes

Performs transthoracic echocardiography exams for inpatient and outpatient populations; utilizes GE equipment (including newer GE E95) with PICOM Imaging/Reporting system (EPIC); conducts 3-D echocardiography and advanced modalities (transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, TAPSE, PISA, etc.); supports diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease with ASE-guided, non-invasive imaging in an IAC-accredited lab; responsibilities include acquiring, evaluating, and correlating imaging with patient history and clinical context, communicating with the healthcare team, and preparing preliminary findings to support the interpreting physician.
