Job Summary
Conduct routine, emergent, and portable cardiac diagnostic examinations in a hospital or clinical setting, communicating findings with cardiologists. Assist patients with transport, perform data entry and file management, and manage restocking and cleaning duties. Execute quality assurance functions and complete clerical tasks as required. Participate in an on-call or standby schedule as needed. Requires a two-year AMA-approved ultrasound program, ARDMS certification, and a Registered Cardiac Sonographer certificate within 12 months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum two (2) year AMA approved program and successful completion of one year Ultrasound training and certification
- Two (2) years Allied Health and successful completion and certification of two (2) year ARDMS program
- Successful completion of an AMA accredited Ultrasound program, ARDMS registered or CardioVascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- Sonography Technologist License (Oregon)
- Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire
- Completion of a formal training program
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with TEE, Stress Echo and Pediatric Echosonography

- Able to work unsupervised and perform exams independently and confidently
