Job Summary
Diagnose and repair advanced electrical, engine, fuel, ignition, drivability, 4WD/AWD, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC systems. Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and provide accurate recommendations while maintaining 90%+ labor productivity. Mentor less experienced technicians and serve as technical leaders within the shop. Maintain a clean and professional work environment. Work M-Sat from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM CST. Requires 5+ years of experience as an A-Level Diagnostic Technician and all 8 ASE certifications.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years Experienced A-Level Diagnostic Technician
- Required state and local certifications to be able to legally perform the work
- Current valid driver's license
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle with passengers
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to view a monitor, and use touch screens, mice, and keyboards
- Ability to climb up/down and over/under work platforms and lifts to access vehicles for repair
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform major and fine motor skill movements using body to perform the necessary actions to complete a repair, service, vehicle inspection, or shop cleaning activity
- Ability to reach overhead, push, pull, bend over/down, stoop, and other major body movements frequently
- Ability to work flexible hours/days including evenings and if shops are open, weekends; additional time may be required depending on business needs
Desired Qualifications
- ALL 8 ASE certifications Preferred: A1 – Engine Repair, A2 – Automatic Transmission / Transaxles, A3 – Manual Drive Train and Axles, A4 – Suspension and Steering, A5 – Brakes, A6 – Electrical Systems, A7 – Heating and AC, A8 – Engine Performance
- Has or is willing to earn ASE certifications and work towards being a Master ASE Technician
- Strong diagnostic ability
