Job Summary
Perform high-quality radiographic examinations for patients while maintaining a repeat rate below 5%. Provide fluoroscopic assistance by setting up sterile trays, preparing chemical mixtures, and positioning patients under leadership direction. Transport patients between rooms and restock supplies in diagnostic radiology areas. Administer medications as prescribed and explain all procedures to patients, answering concerns 100% of the time. Maintain inventory levels, clean rooms after use, and complete daily checklists for regulatory readiness. Provide coverage for the OR, ER, portables, and fluoroscopy as directed. Maintain licensure through required continuing education credits and attend department meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a formal radiology technology training program in an AMA approved school
- NYS temporary permit/license
- ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist with 180 days from date of hire
- NYS registered as a Radiologic Technologist within 180 days from date of hire
- BLS certification
- Heavy work exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
- Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, fit testing
- Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception) walking
- Constant typing/clerical/dexterity, grasping, hearing, repetitive motion, seeing/monitor/computer use
- Occasional Travel
