Job Summary

Assist Service Coordinator/Manager with departmental support for Registered Dietitians and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. Prepare and implement age-specific, culturally relevant nutrition and diabetes education care plans in accordance with departmental policy and standards of care. Serve as a resource to other health professionals for patient care delivery and departmental continuous quality improvement. Complete required continuing education, including fifteen hours annually through ADA-recognized programs. Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings, with rotating weekend call assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Current licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES) within two (2) years of hire
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age specific education principles
  • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, & Outlook)
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and weekend call if and when assigned
  • Must complete required continuing education in compliance with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) recognized program requirements
  • Must complete fifteen (15) hours of continuing education each year

Desired Qualifications

  • 1 year clinical experience preferred
  • Public Speaking experience preferred
  • Master's degree in nutrition subject is preferred
