Diabetes Nurse Educator position at Carolinas Medical Center. Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating diabetes self-management training across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings; collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to establish learning and behavior-change goals; documents outcomes and follow-up plans; participates in discharge planning, quality improvement, and diabetes program education for staff and other departments; teaches diabetes classes, provides follow-up education, and communicates recommendations to physicians and the multidisciplinary team. Requires RN license, BSN, 3 years of nursing experience, and Diabetes Educator certification; BLS certification required. Works full-time with dayshift, weekend rotation, and 40 hours per week.
