Job Summary
Diabetes Care & Education Specialist to provide diabetes education and care planning, teach insulin administration and insulin-pump programming, counsel patients and families, participate in hospital quality improvement, and contribute to diabetes education for staff and community. Requires a Bachelor's degree (nutrition-related for dietitians or nursing for RNs), IL RD or RN licensure, CPR certification, and CDCES within two years of start date. Full-time role based in Elmhurst or Northlake, IL (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or related field if dietitian OR bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher if registered nurse
- Current State of Illinois Registered Dietitian (RD) license or RN license
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) required within two years of start date
