Job Summary
Provide patient care and perform tasks using job skills in Diagnostic Imaging support. Duties include assisting the diagnostic imaging team and technologists, handling data entry, copying, faxing and filing, transporting patients between departments, maintaining portable equipment, and upholding a clean, professional work environment. Must communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nursing and technical staff, prioritize workload to meet in-house and outpatient needs, and follow direction from supervisors. Requires on-the-job training completion or applicable experience, reliable transportation, ability to move heavy loads, and strict adherence to safety, dress, and professional standards. This is a part-time role based at Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls, OR, on-site with no relocation provisions.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to provide assistance to the Diagnostic Imaging technologist
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Effective communication with patients, physicians, nursing and technical staff
- Prioritization of workload to meet in-house and outpatient requests
- Ability to take direction from lead, manager or director
- Ability to transport and work with all age groups
- Good knowledge of body mechanics
- Successful completion of on-the-job training program or applicable experience and demonstrated competence
- Reliable transportation
- Possess professional appearance and dress standards as per Sky Lakes Medical Center policy
- Cooperate in a positive and professional manner with department personnel
- Maintain adequate records and handle equipment responsibly
- Promote positive work environment and effective teamwork
- Actively practices safety and patient care practices
- Demonstrates competency per organization mission and standards
