Job Summary
Manage end-to-end financial operations for CanKids KidsCan across all regions, supervising the Accounts team to ensure timely book closures and accurate donor fund accounting. Prepare monthly budget variance reports, quarterly forecasts, and donor-wise financial statements while enforcing FCRA, CSR, and FEMA compliance. Coordinate with program teams for grant expenditure reviews and audit documentation, leading annual statutory and internal audits. Guide finance staff at Head Office and state levels on system capacity building and process standardization to eliminate single points of failure. Translate CFO strategy into executed plans for efficient, compliant financial output aligned with programmatic goals.
Required Qualifications
- M. CoM / MBA / CA Inter
- Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI
- MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in finance department in NGO Sector
- At least 4 years in a senior finance role within an NGO or development organization
- Working knowledge of FCRA, CSR compliance, and donor fund accounting frameworks
- Proficiency in Tally ERP (or equivalent)
- Advanced MS Excel
- MIS reporting tools
- High integrity and professional ethics
- Strong analytical thinking with rigorous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and lead the finance function with minimal supervision
- Collaborative approach with program, operations, and state teams
- Clear and confident communication with GM accounts, CFO, donors, auditors, and senior leadership
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with institutional donors (bilateral, multilateral, corporate CSR)
- Familiarity with multi-state operations and field finance management
- Exposure to FEMA/foreign remittance regulations and Income Tax Act (Sections 12A, 80G)
- Experience in ERP implementation or finance system upgrades
