DFSV Counsellor/ Redress Case Worker

Job Summary
Provide trauma-informed counselling, therapeutic support, and case management to survivors of domestic, family, and sexual violence. Support clients through assessment, safety planning, and advocacy while connecting them with housing, legal, and community services. Deliver therapeutic groups, community outreach, and education to strengthen awareness and access to support. Build strong relationships with Aboriginal organisations and key stakeholders across Central Australia while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Maintain high-quality clinical practice and documentation throughout the recovery journey.
Required Qualifications
- A qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related discipline
- Eligibility for membership with AASW, ACA, PACFA or another relevant professional association
- Experience providing counselling and case management to people experiencing trauma and complex life circumstances
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, risk assessment, safety planning and recovery-focused approaches
- Confidence working collaboratively with diverse communities, including Aboriginal people, families and organisations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, sound professional judgement and the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
- A current Driver Licence
- Working with Children Clearance
- National Criminal History Check
- Training regarding Safeguarding Children
- Mandatory reporting training
- Commitment to the RA-NT Code of Conduct
- Commitment to all Safeguarding Children related policies
- Based in Alice Springs
