Job Summary

Adjudicate departures from specification for depot-level repairs and review all DFS requests from Type Commanders. Interface with the Type Commander, Ship's Force, and Maintenance Team to process higher-level adjudications and monitor tracking for timely responses. Communicate operational limitations impacting key events and milestones to the Naval Supervisory Activity while providing regular status updates. Maintain an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance and possess five to seven years of shipboard HM&E experience. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders using clear written and oral communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field
  • 5 to 7 years of shipboard HM&E experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures
  • Ability to execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits in accordance with assigned division protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret NSI's, NSTM's drawings, and other technical documentation
  • Ability to attend Technical Authority Training within 3 months of hire
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • MS Office suite proficiency
  • Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements
  • Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communication
  • Must possess and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET Security Clearance
