Job Summary
Dewatering Supervisor role overseeing the Dewatering crew to maintain water levels below mining operations, coordinate maintenance of dewatering infrastructure (wells, pumping stations, piezometers, piping, transformers, power cables), develop and maintain dewatering programs, evaluate performance, and ensure safe, cost-effective production in Kinross Fort Knox operations; requires strong mechanical background, mining operations understanding, technical writing, and the ability to coordinate with planning, mill, and maintenance teams while complying with safety/environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in hydrology or mechanical engineering is preferred
- Strong mechanical background
- Previous mine dewatering experience desired
- Good working knowledge of PC software (word, spreadsheets, databases, presentation)
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills; ability to interact with all levels
- Self-starter; team-oriented
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and write instructions and perform simple math
- May work holidays, weekends, and shift work as required
