Job Summary
Dewatering / Mine Water Operator at Hope Downs 1 on a FIFO roster (8 days on, 6 off) supporting Rio Tinto’s Mine Water Management. Responsible for operating and maintaining pumps, trailer pumps, diggers, loaders, cranes, and refuelling generators; moving and repairing pipe networks, welding flow metres, and identifying defects while upholding safety standards and contributing to continuous improvement. Works under Mine Water Management Supervisor with emphasis on safety culture, collaboration with other functions, and adherence to Rio Tinto policies. Requires experience in dewatering, Polly Welding techniques, ability to operate skid steer/diggers/loaders/cranes, and a Manual C-class licence (HR desirable); full unrestricted rights to work in Australia. FIFO from Perth, with a permanent site for Hope Downs 1 located ~100km north-west of Newman. Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a dewatering role
- Competent in Polly Welding techniques
- Experience operating skid steer, diggers, loaders, cranes
- A Manual C-class Australian driver’s licence (HR desirable)
