Job Summary
Build reusable tooling that eliminates manual processes across the engineering org. Own end-to-end projects from identifying friction to shipping solutions. Collaborate with engineering teams to turn requests into reusable tools, participate in code reviews, push quality, and mentor teammates. Embrace AI-assisted development and ship tooling that engineers can actually use, leveraging Java, cloud platforms, containers, and modern CI/CD ecosystems.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Production Java experience
- Cloud (AWS or GCP or Azure)
- Docker basics
- Kubernetes (bonus)
- Jenkins (bonus)
- Open source tooling experience
- Open source tooling shipped that others use
- AI coding agents experience (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) – a plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD ecosystems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Tekton) – a plus
- Strong communication and influencing skills
