Job Summary
DevSecOps Engineer II in San Diego, CA responsible for designing and implementing automation, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle. Work with software engineers, system administrators, and government stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software for mission-critical systems. Duties include researching vulnerabilities in DoD/C2 domains, deploying and maintaining applications and data platforms, developing and improving DevSecOps processes, and providing technical reports. Requires U.S. citizenship, eligibility for a Secret-level security clearance, and on-site presence at Moebius facilities or NIWC Pacific; 5+ years of relevant experience; proficiency with leading CI/CD tools; Bachelor's degree in a related technical field; and the ability to obtain Security+ and Linux+ within 120 days.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship required; eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Active Secret-level security clearance or eligible to obtain and maintain one
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, systems engineering, or related fields
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, ArgoCD, GitLab, Helm, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Experience managing applications across multiple environments with automation, configuration management, validation, and governance processes
- Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, or other modern IT frameworks/methodologies
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work in a classified, multi-disciplinary environment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Security+ and Linux+ certifications within 120 days from date of hire
- 40-hour work week core hours 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. PST
- willing to support Moebius DevOps assessment and interviews
- Preferred: DoD program experience, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), cloud infra (AWS, Azure)
- Security clearance is required for role and customer engagements
- On-site attendance at Moebius office or client sites in San Diego area
