Job Summary
DevSecOps Engineer III to design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure for a government-affiliated data platform. Responsibilities include implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), integrating security controls into the software development lifecycle, deploying containerized workloads and cloud-native data pipelines, collaborating with engineers and cybersecurity stakeholders, automating build/test/deploy workflows, supporting vulnerability management and secure configuration practices, and maintaining cloud security controls and access management. Must have 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, experience with GCP/AWS/Azure, CI/CD, IaC, containers, Linux, and at least one scripting language; CompTIA Security+ certification required or obtainable within 30 days. Travel up to 25% and candidates must be U.S. Citizens with active DoD TS/SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps engineering roles
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools)
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Helm)
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices
- Experience with cloud networking, identity, and access management concepts
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and secure configuration practices
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, Go, etc.)
- Experience working with Linux-based systems
- Experience with cloud networking, multi-region deployments
- CompTIA Security+ certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- NICE TO HAVE: Google Cloud services such as Cloud Run, Dataflow, Cloud Build, Pub/Sub, BigQuery; Google Cloud certifications; experience in DoW or other regulated federal environments
- Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, or security compliance frameworks
- Experience with STIGs and securing systems in classified or high-security environments
