Job Summary
DevOps / Systems Engineer needed to join North Point Technology's Cloud Automation Advancements Team. Must hold an active TS security clearance to support production and dissemination systems, standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in cloud environments and deploying/maintaining custom code, COTS, and GOTS. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving cloud automation environment and builds reliable, innovative systems in support of mission requirements. Key skills include cloud computing (AWS), Windows Server administration, system design across hardware/software/networking, DevSecOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, Red Hat OpenShift, and Python web applications. Preferred: ArcGIS/geospatial tech; AWS services (CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS); AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling); Docker containers; architecture diagrams; Jira/Confluence/RocketChat; Microsoft and/or AWS certifications. Certifications: Active TS clearance; DoD 8570-cert (Security+). This role emphasizes security clearance and cloud deployment in government/mission-critical environments.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SCI post-hire
- DoD 8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+)
- Active TS clearance
- Experience with cloud computing and AWS
- Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
- System design and architecture across hardware, software, and networking
- Working knowledge of custom code development and code reviews
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflows
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with GitLab functionality, error codes, and scripting
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift
- Experience developing web applications with Python
