Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain operational components in public clouds such as AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments. Configure and deploy containerized microservice workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, while creating tools and processes to automate infrastructure management and enhance operational workflows. Collaborate with development teams to improve build, test, and deployment cycles, and build monitoring, alerting, and trending operational tools within the cloud environment. Perform day-to-day support for applications covering deployment, patching, and general administration, including troubleshooting systems and providing root cause analysis. Provide rotational 24/7 on-call technical support.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, focused on infrastructure management and automation
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with UNIX/Linux environments
- Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet/Chef)
- Ability to write code in Python/PowerShell for infrastructure scripting
- Strong understanding of build/automation systems, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- Strong knowledge and experience with Git
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools, such as CloudFormation or Terraform
- Ability to automate self-service workflows
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related STEM field
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding/experience of cloud and web security is a plus
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Previous experience with cloud provisioning tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Experience with Jenkins pipelines and libraries
- Working experience with Linux containers (Docker) and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
- Previous experience supporting mission-critical distributed systems
- Ability to share your expertise through documentation and mentorship
- Passionate about creating workflows that help produce a great self-service developer experience
- Good problem-solving skills and passion to learn, explore new technologies
