Job Summary
DevOps Manager leading Lighthouse's Platform DevOps team in Ghent, Belgium. You will coach and mentor a six-member team, focus on building reliable, scalable infrastructure and internal capabilities, and partner with platform DevOps, backend/frontend platform, security, and other leaders to align priorities. Bring cloud expertise (GCP/AWS/Azure), hands-on AI tooling to optimize processes, and translate technical decisions into actionable plans while driving ownership, continuous improvement, and documentation. The role emphasizes leadership with an engineering lens, reliability, enablement, and reducing toil across the DevOps function.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading and managing engineers, with strong coaching and prioritization skills
- Solid engineering background in DevOps, backend engineering, or broader engineering management
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Hands-on experience in using AI tools to optimize processes and viewing AI as a core component of modern software
- Ability to distinguish between operational coordination and engineering work
- Ability to see the bigger picture, breaking down large engineering projects into clear, manageable tasks
- Proactive, can-do attitude with ability to inspire a positive, solution-oriented mindset within the team
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner effectively with peer leaders and engineering teams
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication
