Job Summary
Build, automate, monitor, and maintain on-prem infrastructure central to the development and testing of Epic's EHR software. Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex IT and DevOps solutions including application deployment in Kubernetes, configuration management, alerting, and monitoring. Administer Linux systems supporting production databases and evaluate new technologies to improve developer efficiency. Work with a small, collaborative team using source control and Infrastructure as Code frameworks like Terraform or Ansible. Located in Madison, Wisconsin, with a four-week sabbatical after five years.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Interest or experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex IT and/or DevOps solutions
- Interest or experience in administering Linux systems in an enterprise setting supporting production databases or applications
- Interest or experience in administration of one of more of the following: Kubernetes
- Interest or experience in administration of one of more of the following: Large-scale monitoring platforms
- Interest or experience in administration of one of more of the following: Source Control Management Software, preferably GitLab
- Interest or experience in administration of one of more of the following: Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Puppet, Terraform, or Ansible
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, preferably Python or Go
