Job Summary
DevOps Expert role leading strategy and platform engineering for Bybit. Responsibilities include defining DevOps/platform engineering strategy aligned to business objectives, building and improving an engineering effectiveness measurement framework (DORA Metrics), fostering collaboration across development, QA, and operations, and leading the development of an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to reduce cognitive load and improve DevEx. Key focuses: end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code adoption, SLO/SLA framework with Blameless Postmortems, DevSecOps by embedding security into the delivery pipeline, multi-cloud/hybrid cloud architecture, and team building to recruit and grow a DevOps/SRE organization. Required experience emphasizes 10+ years in tech, 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, high-concurrency/production systems, leadership of large teams, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD and IaC tool proficiency, and strong programming capability (Go/Python/Java). Preferred experience includes IDP-building, AIOps/LLM in operations, multi-cloud cost optimization, and FinOps familiarity.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience in the internet/tech industry
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE/platform engineering experience
- Proven experience building high-concurrency, high-availability production systems (10M+ daily requests or equivalent complexity)
- Experience in e-commerce, fintech, gaming, or healthcare is preferred
- Experience leading a DevOps/SRE team of 30+; bonus for building a team from scratch
- Proficiency in container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) with production-grade cluster planning, capacity management, and incident handling
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.) and IaC tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, etc.)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go / Python / Java) with ability to build automation tools and platform components
