Job Summary
DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure in AWS with EKS, containerize and manage applications, automate with Terraform/Ansible, monitor Linux systems, and integrate CI/CD with Git, Flux, and Jenkins. Role requires on-site presence (Columbia, MD; Augusta, GA; San Antonio, TX), Security+ within 60 days, US citizenship and active Secret clearance (TS/SCI ok), and collaboration across Agile teams to improve reliability and performance including on-prem edge computing support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Mid-level candidates: 3-8 years of relevant experience
- Senior-level candidates: 9-13 years of relevant experience
- SME-level candidates: 14+ years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda
- Proficient in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
- Proficient in scripting/programming abilities in Python, Bash, or Go
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC or configuration management tools
- Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other development and deployment tools
- Demonstrated ability to work in Agile environments and use tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Must be able to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire
- Must be available to work on-site 4-5 days per week
- US citizenship and an active Secret clearance; will also accept TS/SCI or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
- Desirable Experience: Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto
